Kitty as a grown up, and when she first arrived as a kitten
We are heartbroken that our close friend and family member, Kitty, disappeared after seven years of living happily in our home. Kitty was always a tolerant, gentle cat, who spent the growing up years of our children putting up with being carried around like a rag doll and cuddled a little too hard. She was known for her hunting skills and would drag everything from voles to bats to snakes into the house. She got along with Artemis and Spike, and grudgingly enjoyed chasing Zero in the backyard. Every animal and every human in the family respected Kitty, and we all knew that she was Queen of the Latour House. No one ever tried to usurp that position. We will miss her and always remember her as a very important member of our family.
Wherever her last walk took her, we are sure that she did it with beauty and grace. She was a truly regal and elegant cat, who walked alone... yet walked with us for a time.
"I am not a servant. I am the Cat who walks by herself, and all places are alike to me."
-- Rudyard Kipling (Short Story Collection)

PK was a part of the family for seven years. She was officially Elijah's cat, but a part of the entire family.

She always climbed into boxes. Here she is meeting Spike on his first day.

Kitty was especially drawn to Isaac, who spent a lot of time with her being
nocturnal. He also bribed her with a lot of treats...
